Horses can bite and they can also become very pushy when getting their food. This type of behavior can quickly escalate to become dangerous. But does this justify punishing the horse? And if not, how can change the behavior in a quick and easy way without punishing them?
If you ever wondered about this, watch the video below and learn 2 things you can do to fix biting and food aggression without punishing the horse. These methods will put you on a path to having a well mannered, confident and relaxed horse, also when it`s feeding time!
If you wonder how to make a flag, watch the video in this blog from 2 min onwards. Here you will learn how to make your own flag, quick, easy and without any costs 👉www.ridelikeaviking.com/post/connecting-with-horses
I think it`s important to use a flag and not a whip as flags will not hurt the horse, pluss it`s easier to move them with it, which will make it easier for you to succeed with building a habit of your horse going backwards before being fed. As always horses respond better to being told what to do than being told what not to do, asking for backwards is different than asking the horse not to come closer or stay where it is.
Thank you so much for watching and best of luck with teaching your horse to be well mannered, confident and relaxed, also during feeding time!
